Envisioneering was recently
awarded a five year, 29 million dollar contract
under its GSA Consolidated Schedule for Professional
Engineering Services to provide technical and
engineering support services to the U. S. Army’s
elite 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment
(Airborne) located at Fort Campbell, KY. The “NightStalkers”
fly highly modified MH-60 Blackhawk, MH-47 Chinook,
and MH-6 Little Bird helicopters in support of
special operations worldwide. Envisioneering and
its subcontractor, Cruz Associates, primarily
support the Systems Integration and Maintenance
Office (SIMO) whose mission is to design, integrate,
and maintain aviation systems and support equipment
for the specially modified aircraft. The SIMO
is also responsible for the regimental maintenance
program and oversees logistical support of the
regiment. Envisioneering and Cruz Associates provide
System Engineers, System Technicians, Acquisition
and Integration Analysts, Logistics Analysts,
Test and Evaluation Engineers, Technical Analysts,
and Maintenance Subject Matter Experts for this
effort.
Envisioneering began its relationship
with the NightStalkers in late 2003 with ten positions.
Since that time, the level of effort has more
than doubled and further growth is expected in
the foreseeable future. To provide management
and administrative support for this effort, Envisioneering
is in the process of opening an office which will
be located on Ft. Campbell Boulevard in Oak Grove,
KY. Mr. Wayne Snodgrass, Operations Director for
Pacific Western Division is currently the Program
Manager (PM) for the contract effort. He is assisted
on-site by the Envisioneering Alternate Program
Manager, Mr. Kevin Garnes, and the Cruz Associates
Program Manager, Mr. Steve Blasey.
Envisioneering welcomes the opportunity
to directly support our country’s efforts
in the war on terror. The NightStalkers are an
integral component of this effort and we are proud
to be associated with such an elite force who
is truly at the point of the spear.
